Hello! My name is Christina and I'm currently in my second year of studying politics and IR! I love debating and talking passionately about politics as well as campaigning for others to get involved. I also volunteer for the Motor Neurone Disease Association! I’m also a very social person who enjoys playing games, coffee, trips to the pub and the odd night out. Hopefully, with my degree, I'm planning on going into the non-profit or charity sector. Happy to help in any way I can!

I was originally quite worried about coming to university in such a big city, but I absolutely love it here! I'm always open for questions. :)

Georgia
Durham University
BA International Relations (L250)
Hi there, I'm Georgia! I've grown up in the sunshine of South Africa on our family farm before heading to boarding school. Now, I'm studying International Relations`at Durham in St Chad's College. It was a huge decision to go overseas to university, especially to the UK. So much about the UK was going to be new to me, the weather, lifestyle, curriculum were things I prepared myself for but there's been a lot more to get used to than I was expecting. Beyond that, choosing a university from a list of so many was a challenge, but ultimately I've decided on Durham because of the collegiate system, community and suitability for my degree. So far, I'm absolutely loving my course ! International Relations has been a great fit as it allows me to engage with the world around me and start thinking about solutions to the social and global issues I am passionate about. Durham also invites loads of speakers to give talks on these topics too. Outside of my course, I've been trying to find my feet in 1st year. I'm loving college life and have been getting involved with the socials and societies within it. Please feel free to pick my brain about anything and everything !

I am Yurika Morii, a final year International Relations Student from Japan🇯🇵🌸 After graduating from a high school in Japan at the age of 18, I moved to the UK and started my new academic journey. It is not, of course, easy to adjust to new cultures and learn in the second language, but studying in the UK, Durham University, has expanded my views and opportunities so much! The experiences and the global friendship which I have built up here are my great treasure☺️
Please feel free to ask me any questions!
