Lynsey Hopkins

Head of Operations, UCAS

Biography

Lynsey joined UCAS in 2020, and she was involved in managing the relationships with a large number of colleges and alternative HE providers, leading on the transition from UCAS Teacher Training to DfE Apply, reviewing the business rules and admissions principles of the UCAS undergraduate scheme, and liaising internally and externally on admissions reform and development. In February 2022 she became Head of Operations, with responsibility for teams delivering admissions, results, data collection, technical service delivery and digital learning, Previously, she worked for over 20 years in the higher education sector, at five different universities. Most of this work has been in the admissions area, including managing undergraduate admissions at the universities of Birmingham and Warwick, and being Head of Admissions at the University of Sheffield. She has chaired the Russell Group Admissions Group and the UCAS Undergraduate Advisory Group, and been a member of the UCAS Council. Lynsey is a graduate of the universities of Warwick and Oxford.
