Richard leads on designing and creating UCAS’ analytical data platform, its data assets, and enabling a data-led culture at UCAS. As Head of Analytical Data, Richard is accountable for UCAS’ public benefit programme of daily statistical releases, analytical commentary, and generating an understanding of key sector-wide trends and issues.

Richard joined UCAS in 2014, originally in the Technology business unit, before moving to his current role in February 2017. Previously, Richard worked for IPL (now Civica Digital) as an IT consultant, and was fortunate enough to work with a range of clients, ranging from tech start-ups (New Voice Media) to large enterprise (Sony, Nationwide, and Nokia), to help teams deliver great solutions.

With a passion for open data, uncovering social inequity, and technology, Richard is proud to inform policy and debate through UCAS’ data.
