Tuesday 8 June 2021 12:30 - 13:20
Open to all

Summary

This session will aim to highlight the key skills and attributes required to demonstrate when applying via UCAS to maximise success in accessing health courses within the United Kingdom (UK). Virtually all UK health courses now interview students prior to any offer for a place being made; this session will not only cover material as to what UK health courses are looking for within the personal statement and interview but also to give the audience a real-life experience of how UK institutes are interviewing students as well as discussion around what work experience really means in the context of an application for healthcare courses.

Learning outcomes:
  • Identify and discuss what constitutes adequate work experience.
  • Experience the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) process.
  • Explain personal statement screening and provide guidance on content.
