Dr Spentzou graduated from the University of Thessaly with a first class honours degree in Architecture. She came to Loughborough University to undertake her MSc in Low Carbon Building Design and Modelling and completed her PhD in 2015. Her research spans the relationship between visionary architecture, sustainability and vernacular practices and the interactions between humans and the built environment. In addition to her teaching responsibilities Dr Spentzou is an undergraduate course tutor and admissions tutor. Throughout her role at Loughborough University she has coordinated multiple outreach activities, focusing on encouraging young female students into STEM careers.
