Student life

Named one of the UK’s best student cities, Leeds has a thriving cultural scene to serve as a perfect backdrop to studying creative arts. There are music venues of all sizes as well as performance spaces and theatres around the city.

There are also plenty of food and drink options as part of the city’s Purple Flag-awarded student-friendly nightlife. For those wanting all this on their doorstep, there is student accommodation at Joseph Stones House on campus, or One Mill Street, just a few minutes’ walk from the Conservatoire.

Leeds Conservatoire’s Students’ Union help students make the most of their time while they study, organising events and helping students run a wide range of clubs and societies. They also work closely with Student Services which offer support and guidance when it’s needed, from disability support and health and wellbeing services to financial advice and study skills support.
