Frank Cogliano is a Professor of American History and the International Dean for North America at the University of Edinburgh. A native of Massachusetts, Frank was educated at Tufts University and completed his graduate work at Boston University. In 1992 he came to Britain to take up a temporary lectureship, intending to stay for a year. Today he happily remains in Scotland after coming to Edinburgh in 1997. Frank’s research focuses on the political, cultural and diplomatic history of revolutionary and early national America and he is the author or editor of nine books and has published scholarly articles and book chapters in Britain and the United States.
